Special Projects Coordinator

The special project coordinator is responsible for activities necessary to increase
awareness of the importance and impact of quality programs as well as develop and promote practice and policy that supports sustainable quality programs. The coordinator is also responsible for technical assistance, program planning and coordination, and delivery of trainings and coalition meetings and partnership activities; information gathering and development of resources and products to support CSC goals; various data collection and data validation tasks; planning and implementation of meetings and trainings; assisting in preparation of online educational and data collection efforts; and providing programmatic and administrative support for activities.

AmeriCorps VISTA Position
Project Accelerate STEM Afterschool Specialist

Location: Camp Hill, Pa.
Status: June 17, 2014 until approximately June 18, 2015

Eighty percent of the Specialist’s time will be devoted to increasing access to high-quality afterschool and summer programs focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields in Project Accelerate. They will also establish a community support system that links established afterschool programs with potential partners and STEM resources. Twenty percent (one week day each week) of the Specialist’s time will be devoted to the following activities on behalf of PSAYDN in ways that complement the project plan.

Fiscal and Operations Coordinator

Salary range: Full-time $45,500 – 51,900

The Fiscal and Operations Coordinator has primary responsibility for providing a variety of complex fiscal support and financial reporting to the Fiscal and Operations Manager. This position requires substantive knowledge of a variety of general accounting procedures, regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and processes. Responsibilities include, coordinating diverse fiscal support functions and interpreting/reviewing fiscal operations over a combination of disciplines, providing assistance with fiscal analysis/reporting, budget forecasting/ planning, and monitoring grants and contracts post award. Other duties include; preparing travel vouchers and travel reimbursements, purchase orders, and preparing and distributing time reports. Additional responsibilities include a wide variety of administrative duties on behalf of the Operations Department.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Coordinator

Salary range: Full-time $55,000 – 62,000

 

The ESL Technical Assistance Coordinator has primary responsibility for the provision of technical assistance and training to content teachers, administrators, or ESL coordinators and/or ESL teachers of local school districts, Charter Schools and Career Technical Centers (CTCs), with primary focus on priority schools and those Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) in Title III Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives (AMAO) improvement. Additional job responsibilities will be guided by the deliverables outlined in Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDE) ESL Program technical assistance plan.

Design Intern

Location: Camp Hill, Pa.
Status: Part-time, 15-24 hours per week for 8-10 weeks
Starting salary: Unpaid position

Under the guidance of the Communications Manager the Design Intern will assist with basic resource development and design assignments. The internship will be spent learning to support capacity to build and update websites, assisting with various web projects, working on print publications, PowerPoint presentations and html email campaigns. The Design intern may assist with additional projects that involve graphic design, webinar e-learning, print production processes and project management. This internship will be unpaid, with no guarantee of permanent employment at the conclusion of this internship.
