In addition to the above services which are provided under the regular ELECT Program, fathers participating in the EFI must be provided the following services:

Intensive child development instruction - offered, at minimum, on a biweekly basis;

Fathering support group - offered, at a minimum, on a biweekly basis;

Self-discipline instruction including responsible sexuality;

Child health and safety instruction, (ex.: "Dr. Dad" course);

Instruction in anger management, conflict management;

Opportunities to model appropriate parenting behavior - This can occur through special internships, service learning and/or community service activities in children-focused groups, such as child care centers, elementary school tutoring programs, etc.;

Opportunities to be mentored by positive male role models and in turn to serve as role models to young teen fathers;

Intensive literacy instruction/remediation - For those who need or request it;

Life Skills Training and Family Budgeting;

Helping participants to establish paternity, if needed; and
-
Job readiness and job search component.
