Communications Manager

The Center for Schools and Communities Communications Manager has primary responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive and effective marketing/communications strategy that serves to enhance public awareness of the Center for Schools and Communities (CSC) and promote its mission, programs and services. This includes promotion and oversight of all public relations, external and internal communications functions, such as earned media, website content, social media, live and virtual events, and other digital platforms. This includes, but is not limited to media relations and content development including press releases, blogs, social media postings, webpages, e-newsletters, publications (print and web-based), brochures, reports, conference related materials, as well as educational resources. Center for Safe Schools Director

The Center for Safe Schools Director has primary responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of statewide projects related to training and technical assistance for statewide school safety, youth violence prevention, bullying prevention, equity assistance, emergency response and crisis management, and other related projects. The Director will serve as the state point of contact for the Center for Safe Schools. Program responsibilities include collaboration and networking with key stakeholders, positioning the Center for Safe Schools as a thought leader in the field, oversight of an annual statewide conference, and resource development designed to meet the needs of schools and districts. Management tasks include developing and adhering to project timelines, establishing objectives and evaluating outcomes; fund development, revenue generation and sustainability planning, fiscal management; and the responsibility of monitoring daily operations and supervision of Center for Safe Schools professional staff. Sustainable and recurring fee for service initiatives/projects, professional development/learning, and the possibility of statewide professional learning/conference development are necessary responsibilities of the position.
