Governor Wolf issued a proclamation declaring October as Bullying Prevention Month and demonstrating that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Join the Center for Safe Schools and the Highmark Foundation along with policymakers, Pennsylvania Department of Education, Pennsylvania PTA, students, teachers and parents as we take a stand for the commonwealth’s 1.7 million students and come together to recognize the vital importance of bullying prevention efforts for each child’s learning, health and success later in life.
The event will also include the launch of the Care. Connect. Champion. A Middle School Bullying Prevention Toolkit. This website was developed specifically to help youth ages 11 through 14 share their voice and engage in bullying prevention through student-led campaigns. It is the culmination of efforts to provide a lasting, valued and open resource to better address incidents of bullying and support youth affected by it.
